Nisporto
Our Residence is on the eastern side of the Island of Elba, part of the Tuscan Arcipelago National Park, and is only a few steps away from the sandy beach of Nisporto, near the small, ancient town of Rio nell’Elba.
There are lively places on the Island, but this residence is far away from any hustle and bustle, so is perfect for those who wish to be at close contact with nature and discover a quiet, relaxing coastal area not yet discovered by tourists.
The true, wild Elba is here, between the mines of Rio marina and the hills of Rio Elba; the coastline alternates cliffs with sheer drops down to the sea, and enchanting inlets and coves, where the black sand glitters thanks to the iron powder. In these environmental jewels that are the beaches of Nisporto, Bagnaia, Nisportino, Cala Seregola and Topinetti, and then Porto Azzurro and Capoliveri further along, the sea is always crystal clear.
You can reach these beaches either overland or by sea; on the other hand, nature and trekking lovers might prefer just to follow the paths with their breathtaking views so as to discover other hidden inlets.
Silence and nature are all around, but if you wish to visit the main tourists resorts on the island they are all only a few dozen kilometres away.
Although Nisporto is only a small village it offers all the facilities: mini-market, news-stand, bar with cigarettes, pizzerias and restaurants. On the beach you can hire out sun umbrellas, sun beds and deck chairs and pedalos, and there are also sailing, underwater swimming and windsurf schools.
